Serrano ham 100% Duroc (20 months)
To get the best Spanish Serrano ham, the selected Duroc breed is the one genetically closest to the Iberian black pig, with veins of fat running through their muscles. This is why ByDehesa Serrano ham has a very tender and melting flesh.
As the time of curing process is doubled to 20 months minimum, instead of 12 months, ByDehesa Serrano has a nutty taste. Its melting and healthy fat is due to a natural diet provided to the pigs and a free range husbandry in mountains of Sierra de Alcamara.
