Brought back by Mr. FrÃ©zier from Chile in 1714 at Plougastel, it settled in this region to became the first production area until the 40s. Since then, we find it both in Sologne, in the Oriental Pyrenees and in the middle high mountains areas. The taste quality of this fruit depends mainly on its environment and its climate.
